See your library
What does my library look like as a whole, and which path does my organization walk to answer one question?
- Source
- Current Internal package, pages/anw-w2-b03.html (Internal b518c35b; src/hunter-week2/SOURCE.md). Original handoff: Internal PR #125.
- Copy
- Exact Internal source package, vendored without editing its lesson or prompt bytes.
- Prompts
- Prompts are rendered from the current vendored Internal package named in Source. Historical publication: student 50ab8c5c from Internal 0e2885b5; that receipt does not qualify later Outlook changes.
- Checked in the app
- Historical baseline QA: bounded integrated checks passed for fresh preparation, upgrade, supported-model native routing and tracing. This receipt does not qualify later Outlook changes. Ordinary-student and Windows qualification remain unverified.
- Open to students
- Yes.
- Other view
- one part at a time (Wade chose one part at a time; one scroll is kept to compare)
This page is optional. You do not need it for the Week 2 exercise, and nothing in the Week 2 lessons depends on it. Read it when you want to see your library as one picture instead of a folder of files.
The start prompt at the top of this page asks your agent to build one interactive diagram of your own library as a single HTML file on your computer. You open it in your browser. It is never published, uploaded or shared, and it never sends anything anywhere.
This page assumes the waypoint layout: library/knowledge/INDEX.md lists your waypoints, and each waypoint links a card in library/knowledge/waypoints/. If your index calls them “aisles”, or lists the cards in each row itself, the agent reads it the same way.
One local file, library/views/library-map.html, that shows your whole library and highlights the path your organization walks for one question.
You choose the question and open the file. You decide whether to keep the file or delete it.
Start or resume this bonus
Start the optional Week 2 bonus, See your library. Read course/workforce/week2/prompts/anw-w2-b03.txt and course/workforce/week2/lessons/anw-w2-b03.md. Write only library/views/library-map.html, and only after git check-ignore confirms it stays out of Git.
Know what the diagram shows
About 3 minutes.
The diagram has three layers, the same three your organization walks when it looks something up:
- Waypoints (L1): the rows in
library/knowledge/INDEX.md, one per topic in your library. - Cards (L2): under each waypoint, the source cards and fact cards the Knowledge Librarian (Sallee) filed.
- Originals (L3): under each card, a pointer to the original it came from, shown as the path in the card's
source_backlink. The diagram shows where the original is; it never copies what the original says.
Do this now: pick your question
Pick one question your library should be able to answer, such as a question you asked in Module 2.
Build the diagram
About 7 minutes.
Copy the start prompt at the top of this page. Your agent reads only your index, your waypoint cards and your cards, then writes one file.
Before it writes, the agent checks that library/views/library-map.html is left out of your Git save points. Your whole library stays on your computer and out of Git: library/.gitignore leaves out everything in library/, the originals, the index and the cards included, so a file in library/views/ stays on your computer too. If that check fails, the agent stops and tells you, and writes nothing.
The file carries everything it needs inside it. It loads no scripts, fonts or images from the web, and it has no form or link that sends your data anywhere.
Do this now: open the file
Open library/views/library-map.html in your browser. Click a waypoint to see its cards, and a card to see where its original is.
Follow one question
About 5 minutes.
Give your agent the question you picked. It walks your library the way your organization does: the index, then one waypoint, then the cards under it, then the original a card points to. It highlights that path in the diagram and marks where the path stops.
A good path ends at a card that answers the question, with a pointer to its original. A path that stops early is useful too: it shows a gap, such as a waypoint with no card for your question. The agent names the gap and files nothing. Adding to your library still goes through Module 2, Lesson 4, where Sallee proposes and waits for your yes.
Do this now: read the path
Say where your question's path ended and whether that matches what you expected.
If you get stuck
| What happened | What to do |
|---|---|
| The agent says the file would not be left out of Git. | Leave it unwritten. Ask The Professor about library/.gitignore before you try again. |
| The diagram shows no waypoints. | Your index may not list waypoints yet. Finish Module 2, Lesson 4 first. |
| A card shows no original. | That card has no source_backlink. Note it; Sallee can repair it when you ask. |
| The browser warns about the file. | You opened it from your own computer, and it loads nothing from the web. Check that the path is library/views/library-map.html. |
Next: This page is optional. Go back to where you were in Week 2; the Week 2 exercise does not depend on it.
