Before you start
Am I ready for this, and what do I need to have open?
This is a check mark, not a lesson. Agent Workforce lands in the workbench you built in Essentials, so the only thing to confirm is that the workbench exists and that you can get into it. Nothing new to install. If the three checks below are true, read the welcome next and then bring your organization in.
Essentials is done when these three things are true.
These are the same three checks Essentials lesson 8 ended on. If you can tick them, you are ready.
You need the workbench, and the workbench comes from Essentials lesson 3, where the installer builds it. Go do lesson 3, then 4 (the interview), then come back here. The rest of Essentials can wait; those two are the ones Workforce stands on.
Have these three things open before the setup lesson.
- Your appThe one you used for Essentials, Claude Code or Codex, signed in on your paid plan. Open it on your
my-workbenchfolder, the same way you did every lesson. - GitHubSigned in on github.com in your browser, the account you set up in Essentials. The setup lesson downloads the course through that account.
- Your accessYour cohort's course access, open, and your GitHub invitation accepted. Check the dates on the Learn dashboard. When access opens, GitHub emails an invitation to join aibuild-lab to the address on your GitHub account; click Join (it also waits at github.com/settings/organizations). Until you accept it, the setup lesson cannot see the course. Before access opens, the setup lesson says "nothing to add yet," and that is expected, not a fault.
That is all. Next is the welcome: what the four weeks are and what you will have at the end of each one. Then the setup lesson brings your organization in.
